First off, I lost a good friend who has been there for me since 7th grade...my dog Milo. Unfortunately, he had to be put down. It was a very hard thing that my family had to decide, but eventually we decided it would be the best thing to do. He was basically blind and deaf, was starting to be in pain, and had bad seasonal allergies. It came down to a quality of life thing. He was there for me through my best and my worst growing up. He was such a good dog and a good friend. He will be missed.
Second, we went to a friend's wedding last weekend. We dropped off Torque at the kennel, dropped off Emily at Grandma and Grandpa's house, and had a weekend to ourselves! It was wonderful. The wedding was beautiful, the weather was perfect, and it was great catching up with people I haven't seen since college!
We are also planning Emily's FIRST BIRTHDAY celebrations. I still can't believe she's turning 1 soon!!! We are going to have Chad's side of the family's party at the Lake Cabin on Saturday Sept. 14, and then have the party for my side of the family at my parent's house on Sunday, Sept. 15. There are simply too many people to have 1 big party. We are doing a "Lion King" theme- which is her favorite thing in the world right now!
Emily has been a bit challenging over the last 3 days- she has 3 teeth coming in at the same time right now!! She's very grumpy- but do you blame her!? I'm thankful that this is happening now and not in 2 weeks for my sister-in-law's wedding! We've been loading her up on Tylenol and Orajel tablets.
The most adorable feet in the world!!
Her new chair- $2 at a garage sale!

It's OK, we all do it! Plus, you have been busy! Can't wait for Emily's party, got the invite today! I can't believe she is almost 1 already!
