Emily Stroh: Shoe Thief?

Every Friday, I bring Emily to a "Little Movers" group at the library. There are songs, stories, activities, bubbles, and toys. It is super fun for her and I! Last Friday, I had to work, so my mom brought Emily to the group. As a side-note, Emily has a fascination for shoes. She picks up my shoes and carries them around the house. I would say that it is the laces, but she also carries around my moccasins, which don't have laces. So I really am not sure what it is about shoes!! Anyways, when I got done with work, and asked how the group went, she told me a cute story. She said that both she and Emily had a great time and they even stuck around a while longer. As they were leaving and going down the stairs to get to the parking lot, a little boy from the group was walking down the stairs with his mom in front of Emily and my mom. The little boy turned around and saw Emily, and started crying. The mother turned and saw Emily, and said to my mom, "he's upset because your grand-daughter tried to steal my son's shoes." My mom apologized and went on her way. How funny is that!? Apparently I need to be careful from now on, because I have a shoe thief on my hands!!

Uh oh....I'm gonna get sappy!!!

This is a little more of a personal post. Earlier today, I was thinking about where I am in my life. Then, I thought about how I had planned out my entire life back when I was high school. My, my, how things changed!!  If things would have gone exactly as planned, I would be a Physical Therapist right now. I probably wouldn't be married, and I would definitely be living in Minnesota. However, as everyone knows, things don't go as planned!! Between my depression in college, my aneurysm, and my relationship with Chad, my college degree was completed in 6 years instead of 4. Also, I changed my major numerous times and ended up with a Psychology major. I got a job as a Pharmacy Technician my sophomore year in college, and I loved it soo much that I almost became a Pharmacist. Because of Chad's job, we moved numerous times over the past 4 years. I never would have guessed 10 years ago that this was my life.

It's better.

Emily has become the best surprise of our life! She has truly become the center of my life, and the center of Chad's. Her smile is able to put a smile on anyone's face! I feel so truly blessed to have such a wonderful family.
