No longer "The Toothless Wonder"

Awwww... our little girl is growing up! Her first tooth popped through, and the second one isn't far behind! Here is the best picture I could get of it, although it isn't a great one (and I can't get the pic proportional):

Another sign that she is growing up: we are trying to get her to use sippy cups for her juice. This was her first attempt:
As you can see, she is holding the handles, and sucking appropriately, but she isn't holding the bottle upside down, so nothing was coming out. Poor girl. She'll get it eventually.

Third sign she's growing up: she is using credit cards! ;) At first I gave her my Babies r us card, but she figured out that it was only valid at Babies r us. So now she's going all out for the US Bank Credit Cards! (Both mine AND Chad's):

Baby on the move!!

Boy, parenting sure takes a different meaning once your baby is mobile!!! Suddenly, my sole job is to follow her everywhere and take everything out of her mouth!!! We got the baby gate installed just in time- because this baby can MOVE!!! It is truly amazing how in a matter of a few days, she seemed to completely master crawling (although she does it a little funny, but it still works!) Now that she crawls, Torque is no longer safe either. She follows him around EVERYWHERE!! I feel so bad for him that we let him up on the couch, just to escape her!! It is a good thing that we have a deck, too, because we can put Torque out there to get a little "alone" time. :) On top of following Torque around, Emily also has taken a liking to Torque's bed (poor guy!!! He just can't catch a break.)

Now that she is mobile and climbing on everything, the injuries have begun!! She hits her head on the floor or table more often than I'd like to admit! She gets over it quickly, though. Here she is, looking quite proud of herself, standing up with the help of the stool:

The ONLY thing that gets her to completely stop is when I put The Lion King in. It is the funniest thing- she stops whatever she is doing and just stares at the screen during the opening sequence!
Other than that, we are pretty much settled into our new place. I have taken up a part-time job now that Chad has more consistent hours. I will be doing my previous job as a Pharmacy Tech at a 24-hour Walgreens. I am very excited to get back into the workforce. Chad continues to like his job, and we continue to be amazed at how quickly our baby is growing up.

Wisconsinites once again!!

Well, we are here in Eau Claire! The move went well and we are just happy it's over with! We are trying to think positive about the townhome (it has many negative qualities that we were unaware of to begin with, but we continue to think positive), and we are very excited to be so close to family!
I think it is official, Emy is crawling! It is so amazing seeing her trying to figure it out; there's nothing quite like it! Now that we have a fully mobile baby on our hands, it is a whole different ballgame! She finds things that we weren't even aware were hazards! She is now keeping us on our toes! We will be investing in a few baby gates STAT! She likes to follow Torque around, which she loves but Torque isn't so sure of!
Now that she is a pro at sitting up, I thought I would try her in the stroller. She wasn't so sure...
Oh well, I'm sure she'll get the hang of it in no time!! And now for the cutest facial expression that Emy has made lately, (and yes, I know that dress is too big...sue me!!)
TOO CUTE!!! (I may be a bit biased!) Emy also tried popsicles for the first time (sugar-free, I promise!!)
You may not be able to tell, but she loved them!! They probably felt amazing on her teeth-free gums!
