Flu season!

Well, my worst fear came true... Emy got the flu, as did Chad. She was one sick little lady. Thankfully, it didn't last too long.  Chad and Emy were both over it in a couple of days.
Emy started going to a play group at the library that meets once a week...she's the littlest one there right now, but she'll grow into it. It is nice talking to the other moms there and exchanging advice and ideas.
Our friend Dave came to visit last weekend. He is her godfather so it was great that he was able to make the trip out! My mom came this weekend and ended up coming down with the flu. :( We aren't sure if she got it from us or not.
We have Emy's baptism scheduled for the first Saturday in March out in Chad's hometown. She has a beautiful dress made by Chad's Grammie and it is fitting perfectly! We are honored that she is able to wear something that is not only homemade, but will also be a heirloom.
Chad is in Eau Claire for the next 3 days to interview for a job at Menard's corporate office. Wish him luck-I think it would be a very nice change for him. We would also be closer to family, which would be so nice!

Here is Emy and Dave!

She loves being upside down!

Here is Emy when she was sick- poor little girl :(

...Did I mention that she likes to be upside down?!

"moo!"

She is starting to enjoy her Johnny Jump-Up, even though the strength in her legs isn't quite there yet.

What a Month!

Has it seriously been almost a month since last time I posted? How time flies!  We had a fantastic Christmas!  We had like 5 celebrations spread over a couple of weeks. We started out with just the three of us here in Michigan where we opened our presents from each other. We got Emy an "exersaucer" that she is starting to LOVE! She is becoming so interactive! We then flew to Minneapolis to celebrate Christmas with my family. Emy did absolutely great on the flight out- it didn't seem to bother her at all! Most of my extended family got to meet Emy. Chad had to go back to Michigan on the 23rd to work. Emy and I stayed the week at my parent's house, and a lot of my friends got to meet her as well. Then, on the 29th, my mom drove us to North Dakota to have the baby shower on Chad's side of the family. Chad met us in ND the next day and we were there until Jan 5th. Then we started the daunting task of driving from North Dakota to Michigan with an infant. It was not fun, but we made it!
Last week, I unfortunately came down with the flu (even though I got my flu shot). I was down for the count for 3 days. I am still not feeling 100%, but I am definitely better than I was before! I now know how hard it is to care for a baby while sick! I'm not going to lie, it really sucks! Chad was such a fantastic husband and helped me out as much as he could.  I really hope that Emy doesn't come down with the flu too...so far so good!
I will post pics of our Christmas as soon as I receive them!

As far as the 26 Acts goes (see previous posts):

8. In honor of Catherine, my mom and I made soup for Chad's grandpa.

I didn't finish the 26 acts before Christmas like I had planned to, but I promise I will still finish!
